Hello-
i'm moving to Hershey, PA in a few months and was wondering if anyone knew of a good nail salon near that area? I'd like a clean, polite place that offers good quality. It doesn't have to be fancy, just decent. I am brand new to the area and so I really, really don't want a place thats hard to find. A place along a chain of convenience stores or next to a grocery store would be great. Also, not too expensive. I don't need a cheap place, but I do need one whose prices aren't through the roof! well if u live in florida... there is a place in the coral square mall called camilla day spa! it is so great, they do the best nails. and its pretty cheap.... 20 $ for toes and 10 $ for hands/fingers! or you can go to red door spa, they are awsome but a little more exspensive!Were is the best place to get my nails done at??

what is round rock? anyway, dont get your nails done. it ruins them for a long time. after like 5 months, i could still see a little indent where the nail grew up. just let your own nails grow pretty long and if you can't paint them yourself, them go to any salon and have them either paint them a solid color or have them do a french manicure to your real nail. that's what i do.

At a fun, clean spa/salon. It should be a pampering experience, and it should be as clean as a whistle. My spa does not use the same emory boards or buffers twice...you pay a little more but you are at a reduced risk of getting an infection.Where is the best place to get your nails done????

Just trim them and file them and get a three step buffer/nail shiner. You can buy them at Walgreens or Wal-Mart or pretty much anywhere that carries nail polish and files. It takes a little time but you can give your nails a beautiful shine without polish. You can also get a white colored pencil or hard eyeliner and color underneath the tip of your nails to give a french manicure impression. I think they also sell manicuring pencils specifically for that.

Yes you can, but as a consideration to the pedicurist, inform them of your condition before removing your footware. Some, if surprized with it, may refuse to perform their services. Others may have treatments that work better than standard OTC medications.

My neighbor has a problem. She absolutely hates when people park in front of her house or use her driveway as a turn around point. We live in a very confined community, and their is no sidewalk. At night you can barely see them, and I can see them because I know what to look for. I know it's immoral, but is it illegal? If a small child trips, or a dog steps on, or someone ruins two tires is she responsible? There is only about 6 inches between the nails and the road. It is very windy at times and I am constantly looking in the road so they don't get stuck in my motorcycle tires, or my car tires when I leave in the morning. I know that it is annoying to turn around in the driveway, but can't you get sued from damages caused on private property? If a child steps on a 3 inch nail at night I think she will have more problems then people using her driveway.
So I guess my question is...I she crazy?!?Is it legal to place nails at the entrance to your driveway?
She could be charged with criminal mischief, or littering.
She would definitely be liable in civil court for any damages.
It sounds like she is placing the nails on the public right of way and not on her own property.

DC Nails. I've lived in San Dimas/La Verne for 24 years and that's the cheapest place I have found that does a good job. Price depends on what you get, dear... Design, manicure, full set, air brush, etc. They are all different. Also, length matters too. But that's the best deal you'll get. It's in San Dimas on Arrow Hwy in Target shopping center. Arrow Hwy and the 57 freeway. Look it up on 411.com or whatever. Also, you may want to request Danny. He does the best job and he's super nice. sally beauty supply has do it yourself clear gel acrylic sets for about $16. Press on nails are the cheapest and depending on the design it can go from about 10-25 dollars glue included.
i have full set acrylic nails that i paid 20 dollars for with white plastic tips. painted tips can probably change the price as some nail places charge extra 5-9 for french manicures. also some places now have printed acrylic designes and colored tips also ranging from 25 and up. the most expensive i've paid for full set is 35.
a regular manicure can cost from 11-18 dollars depending on the place.

sally beauty supply has do it yourself clear gel acrylic sets for about $16. Press on nails are the cheapest and depending on the design it can go from about 10-25 dollars glue included.
i have full set acrylic nails that i paid 20 dollars for with white plastic tips. painted tips can probably change the price as some nail places charge extra 5-9 for french manicures. also some places now have printed acrylic designes and colored tips also ranging from 25 and up. the most expensive i've paid for full set is 35.
a regular manicure can cost from 11-18 dollars depending on the place.

The fastest way for me to soak off my nails is to use some acetone in one bowl and then sit the bowl down in a bowl with hot water it seems to help the gel/acrylic to come off much quicker and a whole not easier. Hope that helps

You should clip your acrylic nails down first as short as possible, and then soak your fingers in the acetone. The acetone dissolves the acrylic.It will take about 45 minutes to soak completely off depending on the thickness of the acrylic on your nail. As a rule, generally, the thicker the acrylic the longer the soak. Please dont bite them off, it will only hurt your teeth and destroy your own natural nails. I would also buy a nail strengthener to use once you've got the acrylic off, because more than likely your nails will feel paper thin.
I glued my own fake nails on for my wedding over a year ago...that was the once and only time i've ever used fake nails. Within 2 weeks, my nails started coming off on their own. I suppose, ask some friends if there are any 'old wives tales' on how to remove fake nails on your own. Wish I could have been more help :)

And clearly you know nothing about grooming if you think any dog can be groomed that quickly. Dogs are groomed in stages, first they are pre-clipped if needed, then they are washed, then put in dryers while other dogs are being washed/clipped, and then they are finished. To do a single dog from start to finish takes 2 hours or so, if a groomer did all their dogs in that fashion they could only groom a few dogs a day. To allow for more dogs, they use the stages method, which allows them to do 8 dogs or more per day. You can't even get most dogs washed and dried in half an hour. If you think it's so easy, do it yourself- otherwise stop complaining about the people who do it for you.Do they give dogs sedatives at petsmart or grooming places to make it easier for them to clip their nails?
When I took my Scottie into PetsMart for grooming (now sadly at the Rainbow Bridge), they did not use sedatives.

I don't know why a nail trim took 4 hours.. a bath might take that long, but nail trims are strictly walk in, walk out services. Pet Smart employees CANNOT put the dog in a kennel if it is only there for a trim!

My Cavalier is a saint at the groomer, the table with the little noose like thing helps. I have a grooming table at home, but have misplaced the noose (groomer that answered above, where can I get one?) When he is put on that table he is 100% better to clip, clean up. I don't wash him often as he hates the dryer and if I don't dry him, he smells worse then when I started. I for one am more than happy to pay a good groomer. My problem is my good groomer has disappeared and I haven't found anyone that does the job she did on him.....so I still search. Sorry, too much info.....

I stubbed my toe and my nail bent back, then went back in place.?

I stubbed my toe and my nail bent back and then when I quickly jolted it back away from the thing I hit it against, it moved back in place. Blood seeped out from underneath the toe nail. I didn't feel any pain though. Except for now when my toe has pressure placed on it.
It's not sticking up like other answers I read. It went back in place and there's a line showing where it bent back, but that's all. My mom's a nurse and told me to put betadine on it (which I did) and suggested that I don't cut it off.

The adhesion will be there for you for a few years.

If you just have a surplus of liquid nails I think it will definitely hold it down I would try to scrape over it with a ridged trowel or what ever they call it so it will be smooth dont just shoot it in the floor. So my question is, if I want to go get me nails done, what would be a good choice, That looks good but won't chip off in a couple hours like my nail polishes do now.I work at a fast food place and I want to get my nails done.?

I recently went to get my eyebrows waxed and I noticed the lady dipping the brush with the wax on it into the container of wax multiple times. She didn't sanitize the brush prior to waxing so the thought of how many people's faces that brush might have been on before she placed it on me completely grossed me out. I never had much success with scruffing them to trim their nails and I like to have both hands available when trimming their nails.

If you want to wear nails for an extended time, cheap is probably not the way to go. The cheaper places may use inferior or even dangerous products.
Some use electric dremel type tools to file and these can actually drill right through the nail bed. Hand filing is better.
Be sure to ask how the tools are cleaned between clients.
An infection could prove to be a very painful and expensive result.

Like the others have said, there are lots of hair stylists in all parts of Morocco. I don't think there is much of a demand for tanning or nails though... Most women in Morocco are Muslim and nail polish and fake nails would interfere with wudu (washing before praying) Also, tanning isn't as appealing there as it is in other countries. Most women cover anyway, so tanning is not important. If they really want to tan, the Moroccan sun is strong and they could get plenty of color that way.Morocco- Who knows a good place to get my nails done in CASA or RABAT?

Thankfully I do my own manicures and had acrylic nails at the time and brought my supplies with me so I could keep them up while I was there. I would be interested to know what you find out.

I haven't tried them but I've been to a Franck Provost in another country and they offered excellent service. Being a French chain I would think they try to keep the same standard of service everywhere. If you do go there, please let me know how you like it!

On the Southside of town I only get my nails done at Cleopatra Nails. The service is friendly and fast and the prices are decent. I've been to plenty of nail salons in Atlanta and in my experience Cleopatra Nails does an excellent French pedicure. A few months ago I got a spa pedicure done and unfortunately, a few days later, I banged my toe against something and the polish chipped. Without thinking twice I went back to Cleopatra Nails and they repaired it for free. Typically I go to Cleopatra Nails during the week or in the middle of the day to avoid the weekend rush. Like every other nail salon in the country, stay away on the weekends because it is extremely busy. Luckily at Cleopatra Nails there is a nice waiting area and they try to accommodate you as best as possible. Additionally there are tons of benches, restaurants and shopping, including a Marble Slab Creamery within the vicinity so you can shop and browse while you wait. Is Pet Co a good place to get my hamsters nails trimmed?
My hamsters snowy and baby have super long nails, and since I don't know how to trim them, I am going to get someone to show me. I would get it done at the PetSmart I got them from, but since I don't have a car, I would have to take my poor hamhams on the bus. There is a walking dist氓nce Pet Co that is willing to demonstrate, but I want to know if it's safe first.Is Pet Co a good place to get my hamsters nails trimmed?
Petco is not the best place. petsmart is better. Besides if you took your ';ham hams'; on a ';walk'; (I would hope you carry them) they could get to hot or cold. Hammys are not supposed to be outside. A bus may seem worse but it is actually safer!
