I stubbed my toe and my nail bent back and then when I quickly jolted it back away from the thing I hit it against, it moved back in place. Blood seeped out from underneath the toe nail. I didn't feel any pain though. Except for now when my toe has pressure placed on it.
It's not sticking up like other answers I read. It went back in place and there's a line showing where it bent back, but that's all. My mom's a nurse and told me to put betadine on it (which I did) and suggested that I don't cut it off.

My advice would be to cover it up with either a band-aid or medical tape whenever wearing shoes or doing an activity that could harm the toe-nail. your mom is right. if you cut it off you will expose the raw nail bed and be at risk of infection. the nail will have to grow out, it will look ugly for a while. tape it down if it is flopping around and catching on things so you dont tear it off. keep your foot dry at all times, dry good after your shower.

Liquid Nails is perfect, since you probably do not have the right tool to penetrate the concrete. Install on CLEAN AND DRY concrete. Scrub it and wash it off and dry completely.
Use weighted objects (like 100 lbs or more ) on the carpet with 2 x 4's underneath the weights to evenly spread the compaction.
The adhesion will be there for you for a few years.

I would get the real glue. not because liq nails wont hold but the glue will fell smoother under your feet. If you just have a surplus of liquid nails I think it will definitely hold it down I would try to scrape over it with a ridged trowel or what ever they call it so it will be smooth dont just shoot it in the floor. I work at a movie theater, mostly in the New York Fries thats in there and the concession. That involves me cutting potatoes, washing an insane amount of dishes and lots of other hands on stuff.
So my question is, if I want to go get me nails done, what would be a good choice, That looks good but won't chip off in a couple hours like my nail polishes do now.I work at a fast food place and I want to get my nails done.?
If you are talking about getting your natural nails done - and not acrylic or gels, then I recommend UV gel polish. Not a real lot of salons ofer this type of service. You will need to find a salon that specializes in UV gel nails only - and not acrylics. That's your best bet. Some of these UV gel polishes are soakable meaning that they can be soaked off in pure acetone in 15 minutes or so, and do not damage your nails. These polishes do not chip off like regular polish does, but instead willl remain shiny and chip-free for about 2-3 weeks at a time. I highly recommend them. And yes, they can, and often are applied to natural nails without any problems at all to the nail. Note: I'm not taling about getting gel nails here, I',m referring to only UV gel polish...Here is an example of one type and the color range they offer:

I recently went to get my eyebrows waxed and I noticed the lady dipping the brush with the wax on it into the container of wax multiple times. She didn't sanitize the brush prior to waxing so the thought of how many people's faces that brush might have been on before she placed it on me completely grossed me out. I never had much success with scruffing them to trim their nails and I like to have both hands available when trimming their nails.

Most women in Morocco are Muslim and nail polish and fake nails would interfere with wudu (washing before praying) Also, tanning isn't as appealing there as it is in other countries. Most women cover anyway, so tanning is not important. Where is the best place to get your nails done in Atlanta?
On the Southside of town I only get my nails done at Cleopatra Nails. The service is friendly and fast and the prices are decent. I've been to plenty of nail salons in Atlanta and in my experience Cleopatra Nails does an excellent French pedicure. A few months ago I got a spa pedicure done and unfortunately, a few days later, I banged my toe against something and the polish chipped. Without thinking twice I went back to Cleopatra Nails and they repaired it for free. Typically I go to Cleopatra Nails during the week or in the middle of the day to avoid the weekend rush. Like every other nail salon in the country, stay away on the weekends because it is extremely busy. Luckily at Cleopatra Nails there is a nice waiting area and they try to accommodate you as best as possible. Additionally there are tons of benches, restaurants and shopping, including a Marble Slab Creamery within the vicinity so you can shop and browse while you wait. Is Pet Co a good place to get my hamsters nails trimmed?
My hamsters snowy and baby have super long nails, and since I don't know how to trim them, I am going to get someone to show me. I would get it done at the PetSmart I got them from, but since I don't have a car, I would have to take my poor hamhams on the bus. There is a walking dist氓nce Pet Co that is willing to demonstrate, but I want to know if it's safe first.Is Pet Co a good place to get my hamsters nails trimmed?
Petco is not the best place. petsmart is better. Besides if you took your ';ham hams'; on a ';walk'; (I would hope you carry them) they could get to hot or cold. Hammys are not supposed to be outside. A bus may seem worse but it is actually safer! Many years since I had the bunny.Teeth and nails will have to be done on a regular basis as they grow constantly. I placed sticks in with mine so that she would have something to chew on. My vet wanted to show me how to clip both the teeth and nails and I said NO THANKS I'll just pay to have it done.Where is a good place to take my rabbit in to get her teeth and nails clipped?
The vets? Or a pet groomer. Or the vet can teach you how to do it then you dont have to spend any more money
A vet could probably do it for you. Her teeth on the other hand you should buy some wood blocks or something for her to chew on and that will file her teeth down.
Unless you don't know how to clip her nails then take her to a vet who knows how.

I do it my self, I use big nail clippers to clip their nails (don't get too close to their blood line), and I give them a block of wood to chew on. I hope this helps. Good luck!!
If your rabbits teeth grow so much that you have to clip them then they may have something wrong with them. As long as you give them a piece of hard wood to chew on they do not need to have them trimmed unless they have a condition where their teeth grow too fast.
I had a rabbit who's teeth needed to be trimmed every 2 weeks. We had to have her put down because she stopped eating because her teeth hurt too much.
You can trim they nails yourself. Just use a cat or dog nail trimmer. Trim about once a month. it is very east to do. Just do not cut below the bolld vein. If you do it will bleed a little but the rabbit will be okay.

Be careful in San Jose and better yet, stay out of the stinking place. It's dirty and very unfriendly to people. There are meter maids and police on every corner just waiting to ticket you for anything. They had the all star game there and ticketed the out of town visitors for jaywalking. Downtown is a racial ghetto with gang fights at night. The fountain downtown, where the homeless take baths, has been shut down because it's full of disease. San Jose is the San Francisco wannabe that will never be.

How do I display original art on a wall in a public place without pounding a bunch of nails in the walls.?
I am going to be responsible for hanging original works of art in a healing/meditation center. The only thing on these walls will be the artwork by local artists and I'm trying to figure out how to hang the art without pounding nails into a wall. Why does my nails keep splitting in the same place?
I have a few nails that keep splitting (or peeling) in the very same place. No matter what I do it continues to occur. The nail splits... I cut it down as far as I can without it being painful. When the nail gets long again, voila... it splits in the SAME EXACT SPOT! I have strong, otherwise healthy nails that get oiled and treated well.
Does anyone know why this keeps happening, and what I could to to help prevent it?

Check your local salons. I would not recommend the change nail salons which advertise how fast their attendants can put on a set of nails. Your main concern is hygiene and cleanliness. Hint #2 find someone that you are comfortable with and keep a standing appointment. Better quality and service. I have had the same nail technician for 2 years. She knows exactly how I like my nail length right down to the colors I prefer.
Most places which do artificial nails provide a good service, however please don't fall into the same trap I did. If you wash your hands on a regular basis or use chemicals these nails are unsuitable and you will just be wasting your money. I know they look fab but they are very expensive to maintain.

Can i use something like liquid nails to hold faux wood blind brackets in place?
I am having a really hard time screwing the screws in the brackets to install my faux wood blinds. the screws are really long. i was wondering would it be okay to just put liquid nails on the brackets to hold them in place. I suggest NOT trying to glue the brackets in place. If you are having a tough time with the screws, try predrilling the holes.
Take the bracket and place it where you need it to go. Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
Set the bracket aside for a minute and use a drill to start your holes for you. The screws will go in way easier if you have started the holes for them. Make sure the drill bit you use is a bit smaller than the screw you are using. If you are in doubt about the size of drill bit to use, then make a test hole in a scrap of wood and try to screw the screw into that test hole.
Make all the holes you need, then put the bracket up. Then do the other bracket or brackets.
If you don't have a drill then ask around a little bit. Usually SOMEONE has one. Even in my college dorm there was always someone who had a drill.
If you really really can't find one, then go buy a little cheapy hand held one from Home Creepo. It will come in handy for years and years. Or if you use it and then decide it is not something you really want to keep, then just return it for a refund. Tell them you were disappointed in its performance, because it was gutless. If you get one of the small hand drills then this will not be a lie... those things really don't have much power, but it will get this job done for you.

Where can I find an affordable place to get my rabbits nails trimmed?
do it your self, just use cat nail clippers (that is what i use) and don't cut the quick (if you do apply pressure and keep the rabbit calm till the bleeding stops), go slow with it to, have them on a table where they can't jump off and use a blanket to hold them down. do not man handle your rabbit, you want to teach it that this needs to be done and it doesn't hurt (again don't cut the quick), it helps to end up giveing them a treat, like a piece of banana or apple.
if your rabbit has light coloured nails you can easily tell where the quick is, the quick is the vien in the nail avoid cutting this it hurts and will cause them to bleed, but if they have dark nails get a flash light and shine it through to find it.

In my area $40 to $45 is the average cost of acrylic nails. I am a nail tech %26amp; here to tell you that if you go %26amp; pay $17 to $25 for a Full set, you are getting what you pay for. Most likely they do not speak english %26amp; the product they use is MMA ( Methyl Methacrylate) which is a dental product not meant for nail use. It destroys your nail beds permantly. It also can leave ridges, %26amp; holes in your nail. It is a awful product %26amp; if you know of a salon that uses MMA, they should be reported to your local health dept. It has an awful pungent odor the whites are not bright %26amp; pretty, they yellow fairly quickly, the pink is not a pretty pink %26amp; when you soak them off they take 30mins %26amp; it looks like rubber glue. Please do your research %26amp; if it is cheap its not worth your health. Google Methyl Methacrylate. 20/20 has done a piece on it and various news stations around the US have as well. If you like the quality of work YOU TIP!!! %26amp; it is up to your discreation as to the amount :)

In my area $40 to $45 is the average cost of acrylic nails. I am a nail tech %26amp; here to tell you that if you go %26amp; pay $17 to $25 for a Full set, you are getting what you pay for. Most likely they do not speak english %26amp; the product they use is MMA ( Methyl Methacrylate) which is a dental product not meant for nail use. It destroys your nail beds permantly. It also can leave ridges, %26amp; holes in your nail. It is a awful product %26amp; if you know of a salon that uses MMA, they should be reported to your local health dept. It has an awful pungent odor the whites are not bright %26amp; pretty, they yellow fairly quickly, the pink is not a pretty pink %26amp; when you soak them off they take 30mins %26amp; it looks like rubber glue. Please do your research %26amp; if it is cheap its not worth your health. Google Methyl Methacrylate. 20/20 has done a piece on it and various news stations around the US have as well. If you like the quality of work YOU TIP!!! %26amp; it is up to your discreation as to the amount :)
it could be anywhere from $17 to $26 depending the design, length, shop, and city. They shorter, the cheaper in some shops. If you want designs or any accents, they usually don't go over $5 more
Depending where you go $30 and up ~~something fancy? $45 and because it is pricey i usually dont tip.

Is it possible to nail down a place of my own? I want one but have no real idea!?
I'm 31 and due to mainly financial reasons and me being in and out of work for a fair few years, plans of getting on the property ladder have been on a back burner.
I don't want an appartment or a flat but I do want a house of my own, even it if is a basic one/two bedroomer.
I don't have a girlfriend or somebody who could contribute to additional income, but is it seriously possible to get a mortgage on my own singlehandly??
If I had for example, take-home pay of 1100 a month, could I manage??
Can somebody also explain to me the shared-ownership scheme?
I'm uk based by the way so I welcome views for people who have been in my situation and have managed to work things out and progress

You will need a 10 - 20% downpayment %26amp; your house should be no more than 2 1/2 to 3 times your gross pay.

It depends on where you live and what house prices are like in your area ..
Typically you might get a Mortgage for a maximum of 4x of your salary before Tax ...
(maybe up to 5x, if you go to a specialist broker and pay extra for 'Guarantees' and you have NO other loans and always pay off your Credit Cards in full every month)
With a take home as low as yours, I doubt your annual salary exceeds 20k so the maximum (5x salary) Mortgage you can ever expect to be offered is about 拢100k .. (to be honest, it's more likley you will be offered 50-60k)
You will also have to put down about 15% of the cost .. i.e. about 15k .. so at best you might be able to afford a place costing 拢115k ... it is possible to find a house in some parts of the country at this price, but not really in London or SE.
Shared Ownership schemes are offered to people in 'essential jobs' or on low income who have good credit - various Councils and Builders (and some specialist lenders) offer theses schemes, often in connection with 'social housing' ... if you qualify you buy part of the house (and live in it all) by the Council / Builder owns the otehr half (and may charge you some 'rent' for living in their half)
Such schemes plainly made sense to lenders when house prices were going up (they got to own half of an increasing asset) but with prices falling you will be lucky to find such as scheme ..
I think you need to set your sights a bit lower than a house .. or flat, or apartment .. perhaps you should look at 'Mobile Homes' ....

I think that the best place to get your nails done is La Belle in Lake Oswego, Oregon. It is really cheap ($15 for manicure and $20 for pedicure.) They do an awsome job! I love the way they shape my nails too!
