I've never understood why people cut their fingernails (haven't seen people cut their toenails...) in public.
I've seen this in college classrooms, on the train, as well as eating establishments (!). While I certainly understand painful hangnails and the annoyance of broken nails, these people were clearly doing these for grooming purposes, rather than emergencies.
I thought of clipping nails as more of a personal grooming thing that should be done at home after bathing or showering and not in public.
Thoughts?Do you clip your nails in public places?
Never, ever, ever! That's an incredibly gross thing to do in public. It SHOULD be a personal home thing.
When I hear the sound of nail clippers in public I cringe.Do you clip your nails in public places?
No, only for emergencies like cutting a broken nail or one of those little sharp points that sometimes split off the edge of the nail. I used to leave those too but I've had them catch on clothing/fabric %26amp; tore them too often, now I fix those right away. But no, I don't clip or file them all, that's bad manners and completely unnecessary.
NO!
I don't, and I won't.
To me, this is nearly as gross as picking your nose in public places.
Gosh no!!! Nails are dead skin and noone wants that stuff flying through he air. Similar would be to peel the loose dead skin off a sunburn and flick it in a public place. Nasty!
no dont start
my friend cuts his nails in study hall. kinda sick but i guess if he's bored %26amp; has nothing better to do.
i peronsally find it gross to do it anywhere but in the shower.
