Maybe, but I think nail polish is more expensive. Also, nail polish might melt the plastic--the model paint is made for it-- Could I use nail polish in place of those tiny Testors paints to cover a model car?

What? No, use paints, oil or acrylic, on plastic models. Try spraying to get a better looking finish.
