I have a nail in my tire. Dealer charge $27, other place charge $18, or $27 or $36 to close the hole?

Why some place cheaper than others? after they taken out one tire to close the hole , do they need wheel alignment?I have a nail in my tire. Dealer charge $27, other place charge $18, or $27 or $36 to close the hole?
They remove the nail plug it and then balance the tire. Dealer is ALWAYS more expensiveI have a nail in my tire. Dealer charge $27, other place charge $18, or $27 or $36 to close the hole?
Just pay the $18.00. My tire pressure light went off last week and I put aid in it (it was in the evening) and the next day, the tire was completely flat. Unless you can fix it yourself the $18 is probably as low as you should expect to pay. I paid $25.

Just do it!

A wheel alignment maybe necessary depending on how long you've been driving around on a spare.
We have a local tire dealer here that repairs flats for FREE. (I know -- I had the same reaction). He claims that repairing a flat for free will always result in a return customer that will buy four tires later. Well, it worked on me because I did indeed go back later that year and buy some tires from them. I suggest you shop around at some owner/operated tire shops vs the larger chain stores.
