Explain what happens when an iron nail is placed in a solution of copper sulphate solution ?

A single replacement reaction takes place. The iron replaces the copper in the solution. The nail gets copper colored and the solution becomes less blue as it becomes iron sulfate instead of copper sulfate. The nail gets less in mass and the copper eventually falls to the bottom.

Don't try it....you will have a loquacious and hubristic situation on your hands...!
Cu is deposited on Fe nail and iron gets percitipated
